White Ribbon Campaign

The ladies of Alpha Phi Gamma asked men on campus to wear white ribbons as a pledge to never commit, condone or remain silent about violence against women and girls. White Ribbon is the world’s largest movement to end violence against women and girls, promote gender equity, healthy relationships and a new vision of masculinity.

Our Spring 2013 Vice President, Vicki Tam, created this video to raise awareness of the violence towards women by supporting the White Ribbon Campaign with the Crisis Call Center. In her video, Geno Martini, the mayor of the city of Sparks, as well as students Michael Austria and Crystal Willis,  speak of this injustice. Together they explain how people can work to end this violence.
